Long Island Traditions’ Blueway Trail videos highlight the maritime cultural traditions of the south shore estuary, based on first person interviews with local tradition bearers from Long Island Traditions’ collection.  The topics covered include boat builders, life at a bay house, recreational fishing, Long Beach’s maritime and architectural heritage, and perspectives on Superstorm Sandy from boat yard owners and other tradition bearers.

The videos are designed to introduce you to this South Shore Estuary’s cultural heritage, and we encourage you to suggest other topics that you would like to learn more about.  Designed for briefness, we hope you enjoy them.
